I swear I am going to sort through the photos for my seal swim and gather my thoughts on it. A quick summary in the words of Dean Winchester would be "Awesome!" Here's a little taster from waiting for the tide to turn at Seahouses Harbour in the meantime:
Lobster pots

Super-friendly juvenile starlings on the harbour wall at Seahouses - yes they are eating from somebody's hand (healthy seeds). In the background is Bamburgh Castle.

Bonus: This black headed gull posing for me.

And seaside kitsch...

Seahouses is not the prettiest seaside town but it is on a stunning piece of coast in the shadow of Bamburgh and it's castle, with an incredible variety of wildlife. It has a harbour that works hard for fishermen and tourists alike. There are an array of sea fishing trips and tourist runs to the Farne Islands with little booking booths vying for your trade. It has gift shops, amusements, a lot of fast food stands and chippies.
